Rob Dages is in Room 408 in Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center
(http://www.hitchcock.org). You can reach Ann Dages in the hospital room
at 603.650.2408, for probably the next couple of days. I don't think Rob's
up to telephone calls, but Ann can pass messages along.

Rob's actual injuries are: fractured pelvis and tailbone, bruised ribs, an
impressively ugly gash in the left forearm, an equally scary gash in the
head, and lots of bumps and bruises that I'm sure will be more noticable
later. When I left the hospital this afternoon they were still evaluating
possible neck injury, but seemed to think that's going to turn out okay.
It's going to be a long healing process, but everyone seems to expect a
full recovery. We're very very lucky to have Rob still with us.

A big thank you to everyone who expressed concern and well wishes, and to
all the people who pulled together and helped pack up Ann & Rob's stuff
(and mine). Thanks especially to the US Marshalls who drove their truck to
the hospital Saturday night. Ann sends her thanks and gratitude to all of
you.

On my own behalf, I would like to say... Aleda and the rest of the crew
of Raceway Ambulance are astounding. They saved some lives out there
yesterday, and it could easily have gone the other way. We also have a
large number of medically trained corner workers in the US Marshalls,
which turned out to be pretty damned useful out there, as well. (I knew
that before, I guess, but perhaps I've just never seen them all in one
place at the same time being major heros.)

I heard that a bunch of racers came out to corner work yesterday after
Everything Went Bad. That's totally awesome. You guys are the best.

Okay. It's late, and I'm babbling. So I'll end with this thought:
sometimes we just don't appreciate how good we've got it at Loudon. It's
a great group of people.
