The Last Weekend - September 30-October 1, 2000



I think this is the weekend that Paul let me take his F4 out for practice
on Saturday, since my bike was having an engine transplant. That was
pretty cool. I couldn't touch the ground, but I still had that "A Honda is
a Honda is a Honda" feeling. I felt so comfortable with that bike that I
not only matched my best time on the FZR, but I also forgot about GP
shifting and downshifted coming onto the front straight. OOOOOPS! Thank
heavens Paul didn't see that. :)

I got out on my bike finally on Sunday, and I didn't feel quite right in 
the first practice (do I ever?) but was really focused on the second 
practice. I really wanted to make it count, and that's probably why I 
didn't crash when that guy hit me in Turn 2. :)

More on all of this later, as I piece it back together 7 months distant.
